One black and white photograph of two women who are standing beside a windlass on the deck of the bulk carrier steamship, PETER WHITE, of the Presque Isle Transportation Company. Both women are wearing light-colored, short-sleeve dresses with white shoes. A steel gunwale can be seen along the side of the ship deck in the background. Another ship is partially visible in the far background at the left side of the image. Handwritten black pen text on the verso reads "Peter White, 8-1939." (One of the women in the photo, possibly at the left, is Mrs. Oscar F. Larson. The other woman is not identified.)
