Print, Photographic
One black and white photographic print (and three copies and one negative) of the tops of roughly 20 open cypress wood fermenting vats inside the Stroh stockhouse. Here, yeast is added to the wort. The fermentation process takes more than a week. From this process on, the liquid is now referred to as beer. There are exposed pipes and light fixtures on the ceiling. On all the copies there is a black ink stamp on the verso with text that reads "Ransier-Anderson Photography, 3408 Woodward Ave., Detroit 1, Michigan" and handwritten in pencil "B1429-2." The other copies: (1) Handwritten blue ink text on the verso reads "[?] for Stroh Book." (2) Handwritten in pencil on a sticker on the verso is "1.4."
