Platter
One platter from the dining room of the passenger steamship, SS SAGUENAY, of Canada Steamship Lines. The oval-shaped platter is made of heavyweight, white glazed china. It has a flat, upturned rim with a thickened outer edge. A decorative multi-color band with a small leaf/floral pattern encircles the platter just above the midpoint of the rim. Beneath this band, a decorative multi-color wreath/torch/bow pattern is equally-spaced around the rim along with floral swags and garlands. The underside is stamped with a green logo and text that reads "W. G. & Co., Limoges, France." Additional red text reads "Made for Canada Steamship Lines, Ltd."
