Plate, Dinner
One dinner grill plate from a dining room of one of the Chesapeake & Ohio Railway ferries. The plate is made of heavyweight, white glazed china and is divided into three sections . It has a slightly curved rim with a rounded outer edge. A narrow blue stripe is located along the outer edge of the rim and a very narrow gold stripe is located along the inner edge. One area of the rim is stamped with black text that reads "Chesapeake and Ohio Railway Train Ferry Service" and includes a small black drawing of a train ferry. Stamped text on the underside of the plate reads "1-MM, Syracuse China, U.S.A."
