Pitcher, Cream
One small cream pitcher from the dining room of the Hotel Cadillac in Detroit. The pitcher is made of heavyweight, white glazed china that has inward-curved sides which flare outward to form a wide rounded bottom with a flat circular base. It has an open top with a short spout, a rounded top edge, and a curved handle that has a flat thumb rest with a narrow multi-color floral pattern stripe on the outside edge. The multi-color, shield-shaped logo of the "Hotel Cadillac" is printed on the side of the pitcher just below the top edge. A decorative multi-color floral band encircles the pitcher on either side of the logo. The underside is stamped with black text that reads "Buffalo China," and "Made for Hotel Cadillac" as well as "Furnished by the Maxwell Co., Inc." Adjacent green stamped text shows the number "A-12."
