One framed color pastel painting on art paper that depicts a peasant girl who is drinking water at a wall fountain. The painting shows a girl who is wearing a long blue and white dress with a white apron and no shoes. She is leaning against the side of a large urn and appears to be trying to drink from a stream of water that is falling from a wall-mounted fountain fixture into the urn. Two small earthenware pots can be seen on the ground beneath the rim of the urn. the artist has signed is name, "Edward Chesney," and "Sold 2000" near the lower left corner.

The painting is mounted in a decorative, gold-colored wood frame with blue and silver matte boards and a protective glass covering.
