South American

One souvenir coffee mug which features the passenger steamship, SS South American, of the Chicago, Duluth & Georgian Bay Transit Company. The mug is made of heavyweight white glazed china. It is cylindrical in shape with vertical sides, a rounded top edge, a flat bottom, and a tall oval-shaped handle on the side. On one side of the mug, a black and white, square image is printed that shows a port side bow view of the ship which is underway in fair weather. Black text beneath the image reads "South American." Black printed text on the opposite side of the mug reads "South American, Chicago, Duluth & Georgian Bay Transit Company, Length 290'6" - Beam 47'1" - Depth 18'3", Passenger Ship - Built 1914," and "Copyright 1990 Wiersma & Associates." Small black text on the underside reads "Thailand."
