Key

One key and fob from room number 2245 of the Book-Cadillac Hotel in downtown Detroit. The standard cylinder key is made of nickel-plated brass and the room number, "2245," has been stamped on one side along with "Made in U.S.A." and the letters, "TH." Stamped text on the opposite side reads "Yale & Towne Mfg. Co." and "Yale." A small steel ring at the top of the key has an attached, oval-shaped fob that is made of brass. The obverse side of the fob has a decorative border with a raised image at the center that depicts the shield and crown logo of the hotel. Raised text surrounding the logo reads "Hotel Book-Cadillac, Detroit, U.S.A." Stamped text on the reverse reads "Return to P.O. Box No. 719, Detroit, Mich." and "Postage Guaranteed."
