Dress

One lady's gray sateen, black net, and black lace dress. The mid-calf length gray sateen underdress has no collar, a narrow V neckline, and elbow-length sleeves with ruffled black lace that extends to the wrist. The lower edges of the black lace are trimmed with a 3/4-inch wide band of black satin. The bodice is covered with a dotted black net that is trimmed with six black lace medallions in front (three on each side in two vertical lines) and 3/4-inch wide bands of black satin along the sides and over the shoulders. One removable black lace medallion is also included and can be attached at a small metal snap located just below the left waist. A matching dotted black net forms the overskirt which is trimmed with 15 black lace medallions in a horizontal row just above the hemline. The overskirt also has four 3/4-inch vertical bands of black satin (two in front and two in back). Snap closures are located down the right front edge of the V neckline. Both the bodice and skirt are lined with a lightweight gray/brown cambric fabric.
