Dish, Dessert

One dessert dish from a dining room of one of the steamships of the United States Steel Corporation fleet. The small, oval-shaped bowl is made of heavyweight, white glazed china. It has gently-curved sides, a thickened outer edge, and a short, oval-shaped base. Narrow red stripes encircle the top surface of the dish along the outer edge and just below the midpoint of the sides. At the center of one of the long sides between the stripes, the red "USS" company logo is stamped. The underside is stamped with black text that reads "Mayer China, Beaver Falls, PA, U.S.A.," and "452."
