One framed original political cartoon by Detroit News cartoonist Draper Hill featuring Detroit Mayor Coleman A. Young as a stag, rendered for print in black and white in black ink, white paint, cut-out screen tone transparencies, and duo shade developer brushed onto duo shade board. The cartoon is a parody of "Stag at Bay" by Sir Edwin Landseer and features a stag with the face of Mayor Young surrounded by wolves that are labeled, "Barrow for Mayor," "Conyers for Mayor," "Erma for Mayor," and "The Media." The cartoon has a drawn frame which at the bottom center reads "Stag at Bay / Manoogian Permanent Collection", and "Guest Cartoon by the Hon. Coleman A. Young Jr. / July 31, 1989" in the bottom right corner. It is signed by Young in the bottom right corner. It is in a beige mat and behind non-glare plastic in a simple black painted wooden frame.
