Animal, Stuffed

One Santa Bear stuffed animal which was sold as a promotional item by the Dayton Hudson Company as part of their 1996 Christmas holiday marketing campaign. The teddy bear toy is made of white polyester fiber with black plastic eyes and a black plastic nose. It is wearing a red vinyl fireman's hat with a multi-color embroidered patch on the front that reads "1996 Santabear." The underside of the hat brim is covered with a layer of green corduroy fabric. The bear is also wearing a red vinyl fireman's coat that has three gold-colored metal snaps at the center front and white reflectorized stripes at the cuffs and across the center. An embroidered American flag patch is sewn on the left sleeve. The coat collar is made of green corduroy fabric. Attached at the back collar, there is a small illustrated book entitled "Santabear Fire Safety Tips." A small pair of black plastic binoculars is hanging around the neck in front from a black cord. A price tag in the amount of $37.50 is attached to the left ear. In addition, a white fabric tag on the underside has black text that shows the manufacturer's name, address, material description, and registration details. The bear comes with a white plastic bag that is printed with multi-color images of Santabear on the outside and has a white drawstring at the top.
