Drawing

One cigar box top illustration of two unidentified Native American chiefs that was done by the Calvert Lithographing Company of Detroit. The drawing was done in watercolor on a thin sheet of white art board. It shows head and shoulders images of two chiefs who are facing away from each other on yellow and light brown backgrounds. Decorative gold-colored circular borders surround each chief. Dark blue provides a contrast color in the far background. A pipe, bow, and arrows, and a red band are shown along the lower edge of the image. The artist's name or marks are not visible. A black ink stamp on the verso has text that reads "Art Gallery of Windsor, 12." The drawing is mounted in a tan matte board frame.
