I have a few incidents that happened to me during this time in history. I was 16 going to be 17 Aug. 29, 1967. I lived at 9617 Mendota. At that time I was working for Marra's Pizzaria on W. Chicago near Mendota. I would work there for money to get school clothes. I went to Mackenzie H.S. and graduated from there in 1968. I remember how things were starting to get uneasy. It was a sad time in history.
