Blank application forms for potential gardeners from the Wayne Country Welfare Relief Administration and the Thrift Garden Project. The form is provided in triplicate, with a top salmon-colored "original for office," a white "duplicate for welfare district files, and a blue "triplicate for field." Questions include name, address, number of family members, nationality, skin color, occupation, previous involvement in a Detroit Thrift Garden, mode of transportation (hitch hiking is included as a possibility), and citizenship status. A record, concerning issued fertilizer, seeds, and plants, as well as the state of the garden, to be filled out by a supervisor and field overseer is on the verso of the blue form. There are two sets of the forms, one numbered 3895 and the other, 3896.
