Blank application form for potential gardeners from the City of Detroit, Department of Public Welfare and the Thrift Garden Project. Questions include name, address, number of family members, nationality, skin color, occupation, previous involvement in a Detroit Thrift Garden, mode of transportation (hitch hiking is included as a possibility), and citizenship status. A record, concerning issued fertilizer, seeds, and plants, as well as the state of the garden, to be filled out by a supervisor and field overseer is on the verso. "Triplicate for field," is printed at the lower left corner of the recto, suggesting that this blue form was originally attached to two other forms.
