Get ready for a Halloween adventure like no other at the Detroit Historical Museum!
Step into The Streets of Old Detroit for a FREE afternoon of mystery, wonder, and fantastical fun! Inspired by the magic and imagination of a night circus, this family-friendly Halloween celebration brings curious characters, unexpected surprises, and a little bit of enchantment to the heart of Detroit.
Explore the streets and discover what’s hiding in the shadows as you take on a Halloween scavenger hunt, get creative with crafts and coloring, and show off your best moves at a lively dance party with music by local spooky band, Fangs and Twang. Along the way, keep your eyes open for plenty of surprises and moments of Halloween magic.
Capes, costumes, and imaginations are encouraged! Before heading home, young visitors can take home a special bag of Halloween treats to keep the fun going.
Recommended for children ages 2–12.
Limit 10 tickets per family
Please note: As part of our community Halloween celebration for families, we ask that no costumes be worn that promote the use of illegal substances or activities or are derogatory, disrespectful or depict violence.
Additionally, no weapons or depictions of weapons (nun-chucks/sickles/swords/knives/guns, etc.) will be allowed in the museum.
We will not admit anyone wearing a costume that includes any of the above.
