Carlson on a exploration of the Alvin Harley designed Temple of Memories Mausoleum (1929) at White Chapel Cemetery in Troy where he'll discuss sculptural embellishments modeled by Hester Bremer of St. Louis, windows fabricated by Charles J. Connick Studios of Boston and the mausoleum designing legacy of Harley and his related firms. Significant interments covered in this lecture, among many others, include world renowned architect, Albert Kahn, designer of the Fisher Building and the Ford River Rouge Plant, Dr. Jack Van Impe, a famed televangelist of the late 20th century, Clarence J. Sanger, who led the group of investors who founded White Chapel Cemetery, and Alvin Harley himself, whose architectural career began in the offices of Albert Kahn, Inc. in 1903.
