Educator Professional Development Workshop

Facilitator: Dr. Traci Elizabeth Teasley is an idea incubator and vision midwife who helps innovators bring brilliant ideas to life. She has over thirty years of experience fiercely advocating for children and youth who are neglected and underserved and has worked in senior-level positions in various urban school districts. Not only is she an educator, Dr. Teasley is a lifelong learner, always seeking opportunities to develop herself personally, professionally, and spiritually. Dr. Teasley has earned degrees from Duke University, North Carolina State University, and the Harvard School of Education. Currently, she serves as a consultant with the Michigan Department of Education.
What to expect:
- The validation of teachers as essential resources through a powerful story-based opening on the joy and meaning of teaching.
- The introduction to practical research on what helps teachers stay and thrive in Michigan.
- The collaborative design of classroom, team, and school practices that support joy and sustainability.
