Join us at the Dossin Great Lakes Museum for our annual ceremony honoring those lost on the Great Lakes, presented in partnership with the Great Lakes Maritime Institute. This year, the event will take place in the afternoon, and admission is free!
A memorial wreath will be delivered from the Detroit River to shore and placed near the S.S. Edmund Fitzgerald anchor. The ceremony will continue with the ringing of bells in remembrance of those lost aboard the S.S. Edmund Fitzgerald and all those lost on the Great Lakes, followed by a procession of an Honor Flotilla of Canadian and United States government and commercial vessels.
Following the ceremony, join us inside the museum for warm drinks and songs of remembrance and the sea performed by celebrated Great Lakes balladeer Lee Murdock.
