As a non-profit organization, the Detroit Historical Society depends upon financial support from the community in order to achieve our mission. Throughout our 85-year history, the Society has received many generous donations from individuals, corporations and foundations from throughout the region and beyond.
Today, we rely upon support from our friends in the community in order to continue our work in the preservation and presentation of our region’s rich history. Donations support:
- Conservation and preservation of the more than 200,000 artifacts in our care

New exhibits and programs at both the Dossin Great Lakes Museum and the Detroit Historical Museum
