Special Tour - Former Detroit Synagogues

As part of their 50th anniversary celebration, the Jewish Historical Society of Michigan is offering a special tour of four historic houses of worship that were formerly synagogues. The tour will focus on how Jewish and Christian symbols and art have been blended to honor both religious traditions as exemplified in each of the venue’s interiors.
The tour will include:
· Temple Beth El (now owned by Little Rock Baptist Church)
· Shaarey Zedek (now the Clinton Street Greater Bethlehem Temple)
· B’nai David (currently the New Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church)
· B’nai Moshe (now St. Paul A.M.E. Zion Church).
