Description: In front of a small tree, a boulder bears a plaque stating: "Wish Tree for Detroit/ Whisper your wish/ to the bark of the tree/ yoko ono/ 2000 spring."
Yoko Ono has dedicated Wish Trees to cities all over the world. She draws on the Japanese custom of tying papers containing wishes for blessings to bushes outside temples and shrines.
